A head spa is a relaxing treatment focused on the scalp and hair. It usually combines a thorough warm-water cleanse with scalp, temple, neck and shoulder massage, and may include herbal or treatment products. Think of it as a facial for your scalp, with the deep relaxation of a massage.

A salon wash takes a few minutes and prepares your hair for a cut. A head spa is the treatment itself: 60 minutes or more of cleansing, massage and rest, lying back in a quiet room, with the focus on how your scalp feels rather than on styling.

Warm, slow and very calming. Most guests describe a heavy, sleepy kind of relaxation, and many drift off. You can always tell us if you would like more or less pressure.

Yes. Scalp care is for everyone, and men are warmly welcome at Eastern Head Spa. The cleanse and massage work just as well on short hair.

The Yao herbal bath is a traditional form of herbal bathing from the Yao people of southern China. At Eastern Head Spa you soak in a wooden tub of warm herbal water for 40 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of Himalayan salt therapy ($88, 70 minutes).

Our treatments run from 60 to 120 minutes. The Basic Scalp Treatment and Chinese Herbal Hair Therapy are 60 minutes, Scalp Mesotherapy is 90 minutes, and our signature Herbal Head Therapy + Essential Oil Skin Care package is 120 minutes.

No. Your hair is washed as part of the treatment, so come as you are. Please let us know about any scalp sensitivity, recent colour or chemical treatments, or allergies before we begin.

Yes. A Mini Facial is only $15 when added to any scalp therapy of 60 minutes or longer, and every guest receives a complimentary hot stone and essential oil. Offers may change, so please confirm when booking.

We are at 152 Mineola Blvd, Mineola, NY 11501, in Nassau County on Long Island, about 0.2 miles (a four-minute walk) north of the Mineola LIRR station.

We are open seven days a week, Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Eastern Head Spa in Mineola is a short drive from Garden City, Williston Park, East Williston, Carle Place, Westbury, Albertson, Roslyn and New Hyde Park, and is easy to reach by LIRR from across Long Island and Queens.

Street and municipal parking is available around Mineola Blvd and near the Mineola station. Parking rules vary by block, so please check posted signs. Call us if you would like directions.
